Evesham Sailing Club - Sailing. Sailing on the Avon river presents a unique experience to the Evesham sailors. They have to contend with varying amounts of current depending on the rainfall, pit their wits against the ever changeable wind, and negotiate around the many pleasure craft cruising the river. Nevertheless, these challenges are met with gusto and enjoyed by the sailors young and old alike. The present members enjoy sailing in a fleet of dinghies varying from the popular Mirror, Comet, Enterprise, Lark, Lightning, Solo, and British Moth. These boats are mostly owned by the members themselves, although the club also possesses three club boats for use by members who do not yet have their own craft.
