Eight different species of whale and dolphin can be seen along with huge Basking Sharks, Oceanic Sunfish, Atlantic Grey Seals and their cute white coasted pups in season. Furthermore, a vast array of spectacular sea birds can be spotted during these superb excursions along the whole of this dramatic coastline. Nesting Peregrine Falcons are a delight to see along with colonies of Guillemots,Razorbills and Kittiwakes. Further offshore Pelagic sea birds can be observed skimming across the waves from diving groups of Gannets, passing flocks of Shearwaters and those pirates of the marine world the Skua's. We had a fabulous day out on 'Free Spirit' with flat calm 'mill pond' like conditions and sunny blue skies. We headed out past St Anthony's Light House to be greeted by the sight of magestic Peregrine Falcons, with black coated Ravens raucous above the cliff tops. Atlantic Grey Seals were poping up amongst the sea washed rocks and various cave entrances. Futher along this gorgeous stretch of coastline we found the first new born white coated seal pup of the season, sunning itself in a quiet hidden away cove. The mother was close by in the sea keeping a watchful eye on her new born precious bundle of fur. Porthkerris Divers - Charter Or Hire;Diving;Fishing;Wildlife Watching.  Our boats are Celtic Cat, a 45ft Catamaran, Celtic Kitten which is an 8½m Power Cat and Predator which is a 6½ metre RIB. They are all fully licensed and coded to MCA standards. Predator and Celtic Kitten have a 20 mile operating radius and Celtic Cat has a 60 mile operating radius, and they are all licensed to carry up to 12 divers. The boats are coxed by dive centre staff who are certified and experienced RYA skippers; they also hold the minimum qualifications of PADI Instructor, First Aider, Oxygen Provider and GMDSS/VHF radio operator. They have vast experience of diving and navigating in our waters. The prime site of Porthkerris means that the dive sites in Falmouth Bay and the Manacles area can be reached in only minutes by our boats. This means less time sat on the boat (important if you don?t have good sea legs) and ultimately means you will be in the water quicker. The sites on the Lizard are a little further away, but still reachable in a short time by Celtic Cat.
