Captain Cook Memorial Museum - Museum.  The Museum is in the 17th century house, a grade 1 listed building, where the young James Cook came to serve his seaman's apprenticeship. The rich collection of original paintings, letters, maps and ship models celebrate the extraordinary achievements of Cook, his crews and the artists and scientists who sailed with him.
