Hello, This is not a hire or charter - it's a unique opportunity to get out on the water, make new friends and simply share the running costs for the day. I want to spend as much time on the water as I can this season so I'm looking for like-minded people to make up a crew. This is my own private boat - not a commercial venture and there is no fee, though a contribution towards the boat's running and maintenance would be expected. Groups of up to 4 people are welcome - maximum of 4 plus me on board giving us plenty of room. My favourite places range from an amble on the river to bouncing about off the North Wales coast. I hope to be on the water most weekends from Easter to October. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of Lake Windermere and the Lake District - at 12 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep, it's the largest natural lake in England. Take a thrill ride from Abersoch, North Wales, and maybe have a go at wakeboarding and waterskiing. Leisurely trip on the River Dee through the Roman city of Chester and the Cheshire countryside. An enjoyable way of building confidence if you're considering buying your own boat and a very inexpensive way of getting out on the water. My boat is a Maxum 1800MX, 18' bowrider with plenty of room for a group of 4 plus me. GPS, VHF radio, first aid kit and an automatic fire extinguisher are carried together with life jackets and buoyancy aids for all on board (including infant and child sizes). The cockpit area has a canopy, providing shade from the sun or shelter from the rain. Watersports equipment - wakeboard, kneeboard, combi waterskis, mono waterski, two person tube, some wetsuits but better to bring your own.
