Bridlington Sailing Coble Preservation Society

Our 1912 sailing coble needs refurbishment to the tune of £??,???. She lies in Bridlington harbour at the foot of the cobbled roadway leading down from McDonalds. She is 40ft long and painted white. She used to sail on Sundays mostly during the summer months, tide, weather and crew permitting. The Bridlington Harbour Heritage Museum (summer season, 10am to 4pm daily) is manned by members of the Society and the funds raised go towards the upkeep of the vessel. However, the amount needed to keep her sailing this time is quite beyond what we can make. We are seeking funding. Members of the public are not allowed to sail in her, only members of the Society, at £5.00 per year. She is visible in the harbour at all times.
