Harlow Blackwater Sailing Club Our Club is situated at Maylandsea on Lawling Creek, off the tidal River Blackwater and was formed some 50+ years ago by sailors from the Harlow area. It has a friendly atmosphere and we positively welcome new members, whether novices or World Champions. All sailing tastes are catered for with our active dinghy, windsurfer and cruising sections. However, power boats are not permitted at our club. We own a private wooden jetty extending well out into the creek, permitting sailing some 2 to 3 hours either side of high water. The clubhouse provides extensive views over the creek and saltings and is well equipped with a bar and galley. 2 acres of secure grounds allow children safe playing area and members to camp for a few days. The area is rich in wildlife both on the water and on land which has a number of rural walks.
