Bournemouth, Poole, Studland - Summer 2006
Last summer, I'd been walking around Bournemouth in the morning, and was heading to the beach at Studland for the afternoon. I was going to do the drive around, but then my mate pointed out to me that there was a car ferry operating between Sandbanks (Poole) and Studland - which I'd never heard of. Keen not to waste any precious sunbathing time, I decided to give it a go. It was very good value for money and the crossing was really quick - just enough time for me to get out of the car, walk up a deck to admire the view for a few minutes, and then walk back down to the car again. Great fun, and much better than needlessly driving around in traffic on a hot summers day!
