We offer yacht sailing courses for beginners or those with lots of experience. We offer the full range of RYA practical and theory courses. If you are a complete beginner and like the idea of chartering your own boat in somewhere like the Caribbean or Mediterranean then you need to get your Day Skipper practical qualification. To get this you need to do a 5 day practical Day Skipper course. This can either be taken over 5 consecutive days or over 2 weekends, a short and a long. To be eligible to take the Day Skipper practical course you need to a) know how to sail a bit already. If you are happy sailing a triangular course confidently and competently and know your knots then you should be fine. If not you should do the 5 day Competent Crew practical course. Like the DS practical this can either be taken over 5 consecutive days or over 2 weekends, a short and a long. b) have done the Day Skipper theory course or have knowledge to the equivalent level.
