First Rate Sail is a family operating business running charter holidays aboard the ship Ruth. Ruth is a Baltic trader built in 1914. Trips include Cornish Coast, Isles of Scilly, Britanny, Ireland, Northern Ireland and the West Coast of England. Visit Ruth in Penzance harbour in the winter or at festivals around the country during the summer season. Holidays are also available to the French music and sea festivals, such as Paimpol, Brest, Douarnenez and Binic. Ruth sleeps 9 passengers and 4 permanent crew in single and twin cabins. The ship is fully catered. First Rate Sail is also an RYA sailing school offering Start Yachting, Competent Crew and Day Skipper Watch Leader.
