Cost to include food, fuel and moorings 560. One berth left on this passage. During the Easter break, I shall be taking a boat across the Channel again, this time only five days, 31 March - 5 April. Cost to include food, fuel and moorings 450. One berth left on this passage.
Charity Sail: I am currently teaching the Day Skipper Theory course to a young man, Oliver Hancox, who is planning to cross the Channel, single handed to raise money for Cancer Research. He will be sailing his Silhouette "Cariad" with a larger yacht as a safety boat, and a motor boat in support as well. At the moment the crossing is scheduled for June from Plymouth to Morlaix. Sadly Oliver's father died of cancer and this is why Oliver is raising the money. Visit and you will be able to make a donation using this website. Please help out in any way you can.

Wednesday March 3rd, Duncan Wells, Anecdotes of a Yachtmaster Instructor
Duncan Wells is a GXSA member, RYA Instructor, and principal of Westview Sailing. He is the author of the Seamanship and Boathandling articles for "Sailing Today" magazine. Duncan sails a Hallberg Rassy 352, "Dorothy Lee" and was awarded the Bob Gammock Trophy in 2007. Duncan will tell us some "Yachting Capers" based on a return trip from Pornic in Brittany with an inexperienced crew. He will also recount some anecdotes about how he survived his unsurvivable flares accident. This will be an entertaining and informative evening.
Wednesday March 10th, Tony Firth, An Atlantic Short Circuit
Although "Gentlemen don't sail to windward", Tony Firth included a long windward leg in his 11-month circuit from the UK through Spain, Portugal, Madeira, the Canaries, the Cape Verde Islands and the Azores. His talk presents aspects of the first of his retirement sailing ambitions - to take his Rustler 36, Amoret, and a motley selection of crews on a circular cruise of the Atlantic islands without crossing the Atlantic.
