RYA sail cruising course - 16/17/18 and 24/25 April
Just to let you know that due to a cancellation we have 2 spaces on a RYA sail cruising course - suitable for Competent Crew or Day Skipper. Or anyone who just wants to go sailing or get more experience.
The course is running over 2 weekends 16/17/18 and 24/25 April.
Normal course price �375 per person inclusive of all food eaten on board, all boat costs and use of waterproofs.
We would accept any reasonable offer. If you can only make one of the weekends - again please make me an offer.

Just to let you know that we have 2 spaces left for a weekend sail over Easter which we are offering at a special price of 3 days for the price of 2 days ie �190, you can join the boat on Thursday evening and complete the event on Sunday afternoon.
Also, we have spaces on a Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster shorebased theory course running over the weekends of 10-11 and 16-18 April, if you follow us on Twitter you get 10% off the normal price of �350. We may be able to accomodate students for the shorebased course overnight in a marina on one of the yachts.

Monday 5th April, Ferry to Tobermory, departs Laga 9.15am
Wednesday 7th April, Whale Watching Trip PLACES AVAILABLE
9.30am-6.30pm, full day whale and marine wildlife cruise. Visit the Cairns of Coll and the Island of Muck. Opportunity to see whales, dolphins, basking sharks, gannets and fantastic scenery. A wonderful day out for all the family. �65 per person, child concessions available.
Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th April, Available for trips such as:
Whale Watching Trip (detailed above) OR
2 hour Wildlife Loch Cruise
Visiting Loch Sunart and Loch Teacuis, with time to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat.

Arrow Yacht Enterprises
During the Easter break, I shall be taking a boat across the Channel again, this time only five days, 31 March - 5 April. Cost to include food, fuel and moorings �450.
7 - 9 April Budget weekend sail. �160 a head, supper ashore, bacon butties for breakfast, sandwich lunch, mooring and fuel paid separately and shared between the crew. Sit back and watch everyone else doing the work or get involved in navigation, pilotage or sailing the boat.
A friend is bringing back a Clipper 67' (see for a bit about this type of boat) from Antigua in the Caribbean leaving round about 24th April and seeks crew. The final destination will be either Portugal or northern Spain. The boat will either head straight back to Iberia (28 days) or will go to the Azores (21 days), dependent on crew time availability. The cost will be air fare to Antigua, and a �200 contribution to food and fuel costs. The skipper seeks experienced sailors. Please email me if you would like to hear more about this trip.

Eighty hand made wooden punts have been lovingly lowered into the water and are at your disposal from ten am to dusk.

Weekends and holidays: Puffin Club. Join us 2pm - 3pm weekends and holidays for fun make and take sessions.
19th - 20th April: Spring Lambs. Celebrate the spring time by making a little lamb from recycled materials.
24th - 25th April: Puffin Food Chain Mobiles. Who eats who? Make a mobile that will help you figure out the food chain.
30th April: Puffin Model. Watch the clowns of the sea live on camera to help you make a realistic puffin model.
1st April - 9th April: Scotland's Housing Expo Exhibition. This exhibition gives a national focus to the design of our built environment and associated issues. Through a series of models, it highlights developments, ranging from low carbon design strategies to the complementary roles of design and sustainability within public and private housing. Part of the Sustainability in Architecture Programme and supported by the Scottish Government. For further information visit
1st April - 31st May: Barbara MacKenzie Exhibition in the Picture Gallery. Barbara Mackenzie exhibits a series of paintings using inspiration from the surrounding area. Her work is particularly vibrant, bringing an almost Mediterranean feel to her Scottish landscapes. Free admission.
2nd April 2.30pm: Story Time by the Sea. Snuggle down for an afternoon of stories by the sea.
3rd - 17th April 2pm-3pm: The Save the Planet Show Science Festival. The Planet needs your help! Join Professor Egghead's team of eggsperts to solve the mystery of what's gone wrong and how you can stop disaster striking in the future!!
