7 - 9 May: Budget weekend sail. �160 a head, supper ashore, bacon butties for breakfast, sandwich lunch, mooring and fuel paid separately and shared between the crew. Sit back and watch everyone else doing the work or get involved in navigation, pilotage and sailing the boat. Two berths left on this.
16 - 22 May: Five day course. �420 a head. Any level of competence. One berth left on this.

Crew Needed: I need an experienced crew to come and help out with an owner who wishes to be assessed for his Yachtmaster Coastal Skipper ticket. The boat is a Vancouver 27, sleeps 3 comfortably, the dates are: arrive on boat on River Hamble pm Friday 21st May, depart pm Monday 24th May. Ideal chance for somebody considering going down this route to see what it is all about.

8th - 9th May: Build a Bird. Make the fastest, biggest, most colourful bird you want in this week's Puffin Club.
15th May: Build a Bird. Make the fastest, biggest, most colourful bird you want in this week's Puffin Club and celebrate Scottish Biodiversity Week.
17th - 18th May: Lollypop Stick Insects. Have a go at creating your very own lollypop stick insects. As part of Scottish Biodiversity Week.
21st - 23rd May: Puffin Party Hats. Help celebrate the Scottish Seabird Centre's 10th Birthday and make your own puffin party hat.

1st May 2pm: Sci-Fun Climate Change Show. Presented by SCI-FUN, the Scottish Science and Technology Roadshow, from the University of Edinburgh. Climate Change is one of today's most widely debated topics - but why is the subject so important? Find out more in our presentation about: the variations in climate that our planet is currently experiencing the possible causes, the future we might have to prepare for, and ways in which we might limit the scale of these changes.

1st May - 31st May: Barbara Mackenzie Exhibition in the Picture Gallery. Local artist Barbara Mackenzie exhibits a series of paintings using inspiration from the surrounding area. Her work is particularly vibrant, bringing an almost Mediterranean feel to her Scottish landscapes. Free admission.

15th May - 22nd June: A Dream Takes Flight Exhibition. To celebrate the 10th Birthday of the Scottish Seabird Centre this exhibition looks back at its history, the events and people who have helped make it such a success.
16th May 2pm-4pm: Wild About Art - Puffin Kites. Fly as high as a bird by making your own very own puffin kite. Made from household scrap materials with Alchemy Arts.
All activities are free with admission to the Discovery Centre unless otherwise stated.
There may be a charge for the Walking With Birds events.
