September offer!

From September the 1st for every 4 spaces you book on to Coasteering, Blokarting or Abseiling, we will give you a �25 voucher to spend within a year. If you have a group of friends who are interested in doing any of these activities please contact us to organise your special event! You can either book on to one of the sessions which are already displayed on our website, or schedule in for a date which suits you!

9th September: International Air Display
A unique opportunity is available for the International Air Display Event on Thursday 9th September. For those of you lucky enough to get the day off work to enjoy this awesome spectacle...we are offering 12 people a place on our RIB to observe this incredible vision at sea!! The Voyage will commence from Albert Pier for the speedy trip around to St Aubin's bay where the main event occurs. The entire trip will last for 4 hours and return to Albert Pier! The cost for this activity is �45 per person and includes a picnic and soft drinks. If you would like to book this event either call the office or book online!
....and for the kids!
For those of you unable to get the time off of work to look after the children this day, we are running a special activity session from 8.45am until 4.00pm. We will collect the children from Liberation square for morning activities which will be decided the day before, and end up in St Helier where the kids can watch the fantastic air display whilst playing beach games. The cost for this day is �40 per child aged 10-16. We will take 9 year olds if strong swimmers.

We hope everyone has been enjoying their summer so far! Blokarting and other activities will be continuing through the seasons. Coasteering is best in September as the water is at its hottest!! If you would like to organise an activity with us that is not on our website, please email your requests and we can hopefully arrange something to suit your needs!

We are running open 3 hour trips, especially suitable as a taster of sea angling. Rod hire and bait included in the price of �20.00 per person.

'What's On' at the Scottish Seabird Centre
Puffin Club: Join us 2pm - 3pm weekends and holidays for fun make and take sessions.
1st - 5th September*: Under Water Aliens. Plankton comes in all shapes and colours, join our team to create some weird and wonderful plankton to add to our display.
* Puffin Club will run from 12pm-1pm
6th - 12th September: Flashy Funky Fish. Add to our under the sea display by creating a wonderfully funky fish.
17th - 18th September: Rockpool Creatures.
20th - 21st September: Our rockpools are wonderful places for creatures of all shapes and sizes. Make a stunning starfish or crazy crab to add to our display.
25th - 26th Sept: Under Water Aliens. Plankton comes in all shapes and colours, join our team to create some weird and wonderful plankton to add to our display.
1st - 30th September: Floating Zoo Exhibition. In the marine world it's the little things that count! There are literally billions of tiny plants and animals all drifting around the ocean with the tides like a floating zoo. Find out about this miniature marine world.
1st - 30th September: Keli Clark Exhibition in the Picture Gallery. Keli Clark returns with a new collection of pictures. Her work is varied, including Scottish land and cityscapes and murals.
1st - 5th September 2pm-3pm: Save the Planet Show. Join Professor Egghead and his team of presenters for this exciting live theatre show in the Wildlife Theatre.
1st - 5th September 3pm-3.30pm: The BIG Quiz. Fingers on buttons for this 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' style quiz. Pit your wits against friends and family or play as a team. Lots of fun and prizes to be won.
3rd & 17th September 1.30pm-3.30pm: Wildlife Club. Are you 7-11 years old? Do you love wildlife and nature? Do you enjoy getting outdoors, meeting new people and making friends? Then come along and join North Berwick's Wildlife Club, join us in exploring all that North Berwick and the surrounding area has to offer. We get up to all sorts of activities from rockpooling, bushcraft and birdwatching to wildlife themed games, parties and art activities. Most importantly, we have FUN! More details at www.seabird.org.
3rd September 2.30pm: Storytime by the Sea. Snuggle down for an afternoon of stories by the sea.
8th September: Walking with Birds - Hound Point. Join the Scottish Seabird Centre Birdwatching Group and Edinburgh RSPB at Hound Point. For all enquiries please ring Alan Gracie on 0131 652 0308.
15th September: Walking with Birds - Musselburgh. Join the Scottish Seabird Centre Birdwatching Group at Musselburgh. Meet at the Mouth of River Esk at 10.30am. 17th September 1.30pm: Beachwatch. Join the team to carry out a local beach clean and help in the national Marine Conservation Society Beachwatch Survey. Please look out for times and further details at www.seabird.org.
19th September: Wild About Art - Flotsam and Jetsam. You can find many amazing things on our beaches, not all of which are meant to be there. Help celebrate Beachwatch Weekend 2010 and create your own fabulous artwork inspired by the materials you find on the beach.
26th September: Walking with Birds - Early Birds Beach Walk. Join the Scottish Seabird Centre Birdwatching Group at Seabird Centre Entrance at 8am. Contact Maggie Sheddan on 07709 505133. Please inform the leader beforehand if you are coming.
