Hobbs of Henley
Viva La Barca!
New Spanish restaurant opens at Hobbs boatyard.
A taste of Spain comes to Henley this month with the opening of La Barca Spanish waterfront restaurant and tapas bar at our boatyard in Station Road on April 21st. Perfectly positioned for a lazy lunch or sumptuous supper overlooking the river Thames, we are really excited at this major new development for Hobbs. This is the first time in over 140 years of boating that a dedicated restaurant has opened on one of our sites. With a large capacity dining room and delightful decking, La Barca will be open from 9am until midnight, so come on down and join us for some tasty tapas, a lingering dinner or even a quick coffee whilst watching the world go by on the Thames! Better still, why not have a romantic picnic aboard a boat with a sumptuous Spanish hamper provided by La Barca? With great internet access and early opening times, La Barca is also the perfect place to meet clients and indulge in a delicious breakfast or caf con leche.
Easter on the river.
This April is packed with bank holidays and a very special Royal Wedding! At Hobbs of Henley, we will be open all over the Easter holidays and have come up with some great ideas to make the most of the spring break and entertain the children. Celebrate the Royal Bank Holiday in style with a trip on a Hobbs boat on the Royal Regatta Reach, or simply take a leisurely trip on the Thames. Keep the children entertained with our Wildlife Cruise on Tuesday 12th April - a 75 minute cruise with a Wildlife specialist pointing out the rivers wildlife along the way.
