We hope you are enjoying the summer.
As the week beginning 29th August will be the last Kids Activity Camp of the summer, we are offering a special rate for the week of �150 instead on �190.
 
The week will consist of all our main activities (weather dependant) to include: Coasteering, Sea Kayaking, Abseiling, Blokarting, Body boarding, Fishing, Zorbing, a RIB trip, cycling...and more...
An instructor will meet the kids at liberation square each day (Monday to Friday) at 8.45am where they will be transported via minibus to the activity venue. The minibus will then return them to Liberation square by 4.00pm.
Age Range: 10-16yrs
Spaces are limited so please reserve your place at your earliest convenience. To book, please contact the office or email us.

'What's On' at the Scottish Seabird Centre
Puffin Club: Join us 2pm - 3pm weekends and holidays for fun make and take sessions.
1st - 5th Aug 12pm - 1pm: Whale of a Time. It's the time of year to spot whales and dolphins in our Scottish seas. Join in our Puffin Club activities and create your own whale mobiles.
6th - 12th Aug 12pm - 1pm: Diving Dolphins. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins in the Forth and join us to make your own diving dolphin.
13th - 21st Aug 12pm - 1pm: Tern Glider. To celebrate Professor Egghead's latest show come along and make a beautiful Arctic Tern glider that will soar around the world!
22nd - 28th Aug 12pm - 1pm: Fishy Faces. Make a wonderful ocean mask to transform yourself into a fishy friend.
29th - 31st Aug 2pm-3pm: Turtle-y Amazing! Celebrate one of the most amazing creatures in the ocean in our Turtle-y Amazing Puffin Club.
1st - 31st Aug: Keli Clark Exhibition in the Picture Gallery. Keli Clark exhibits a new range of work focussed on the surrounding area, beautiful landscapes and the local wildlife. Free admission.
5th August 2.00pm: Storytime by the Sea. Snuggle down for stories by the sea, suitable for ages 2 - 5 years.
5th - 7th August 11am - 4pm: Whales and Dolphins with WDCS. Come and meet the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society and find out more about the amazing bottlenose dolphins and other cetaceans that live in Scotland. Learn how to spot a dolphin from our Telescope Deck and join in our fun family activities. Find out how blubber can keep you warm, learn how whales feed and meet our lifesize inflatable dolphin. We can also tell you about the threats whales and dolphins face and how you can help. Why not join our team and look out for dolphins from the Seabird Centre and you may even be lucky enough to see them yourself? All ages.
21st August 2pm - 4pm: Wild About Art - Summer Sun. Make a beautiful sun catcher to hang in your window in celebration of the migrating Arctic Terns. Drop-in workshop using scrap materials with Alchemy Arts. Suitable for ages 4+.
21st August: Walking with Birds - Aberlady Bay. Join the Scottish Seabird Centre Birdwatching Group and Edinburgh RSPB. For all enquiries, call Alan Gracie on 0131 652 0308.
All activities are free with admission to the Discovery Centre, unless otherwise stated.

Welcome to our summer newsletter!
We hope you are enjoying the summer as much as we are and so far, we have enjoyed Henley Regatta and Henley Festival and can't wait for the Rewind Festival in August. Don't forget, Hobbs are running the official Rewind Taxi service, please go to our website for more information and the timetable.
Last month we ran a competition on Facebook to find out 'what do you love most about Henley?' We had some wonderful comments and a great response and our winner was Karen Howells! Many congratulations to Karen who submitted a wonderful poem. Karen's prize was a 12 seater boat for the day! We look forward to hearing about her trip. Extended Cruises with Poole Sailing
We are pleased to be able to offer some extended cruises on "Ten Ten", a Moody 336 skippered by Mike Caffrey. They are for a maximum of 5 people. Details as follows -
1) Poole - St Malo 10 days Thursday 7th July to Saturday 16th July (arrive Wednesday evening)
From Poole across the channel to Alderney, then down the swinge to St Peter port Guernsey on to St Helier Jersey via Sark and onto St Malo and lock through to the old town. Trip back from St Malo direct to Poole which will take 24 to 30 hours, a good opportunity to experience strong tides, long passage making and pilotage.
Cost: �850 per person
2) Poole - Scillies 12 days Tuesday 26th July to Saturday 6th Aug (arrive Monday evening)
From Poole across Lyme bay to Torque onto Dartmouth, Salcombe, Newton Ferrers, Eddystone light house, Helford river, Newlyn, St Mary's (Scillies). Trip back from Scillies direct to Poole which will take 36 to 40 hours, a good opportunity to experience, long passage making and pilotage.
Cost: �990 per person
3) Cowes week and Fastnet race start 7 days Monday 8th to Sunday 14th Aug (arrive Monday morning)
Not taking part in Cowes week but cruising the solent during cowes week and watching the action from the water during the week, Friday ashore in Cowes and the evening party and fireworks, Sunday watch the start of the Fastnet race and follow the fleet down the solent on the way back to Poole.
Cost: �595 per person
