Bristol Packet Boat Trips
www.bristolpacket.co.uk
Hello from Bristol Packet Boat Trips.
After a long winter's overhaul of prepping, painting and polishing, Bristol Packet crew are delighted to be back under clear spring skies. Bagheera has been fitted with a new four cylinder 140 horsepower engine. After some teething problems with the injector pump our chief engineer, Jim, declared her shipshape and Bristol fashion.
Last year all our downstream trips were oversubscribed so we've increased the frequency of our Avon Gorge Cruises. Bristol was built to be approached by water. To cruise up through the spectacular gorge and under Brunel's suspended masterpiece in the company of our experts is to pass through one of the greatest nautical gateways of them all, and to follow in the wake of a rich history.
We have fresh new and old pictures in our photo gallery and would like to thank everyone for their submissions. This month's best shot (as judged by the old sea dogs down The Nova) was by Alan Dibble (nighttime shot of Tower Belle and superyacht Mogambo), congratulations, and enjoy your free cruise to Bath on the narrowboat Redshank.
Lastly, afternoon trips to Beeses Tea Gardens start running regularly again on Good Friday. Looking forward to the cream teas already.
See you on the river.

Appledore Sails March 2012 Newsletter
It is March again - Patron's anti-fouling is done, the mast is up, and a new Devon flag is flying. I have still got to put the sails on and check the engine, and give her a last clean and polish. I am stocking the boat this week with the necessities and she is being launched at 5 pm Wednesday 3rd April.
I have a 'book-a-berth' guest for Easter Monday's trip to Lundy after the shakedown cruise Easter Sunday - any one like to join him? We are leaving Appledore Quay by 9.30 am and out for the day. Cost 150 per person for the day.
As you can see I am back into taking bookings on both Jez-y-belle and Patron. Anyone feeling like blowing those winter cobwebs away, just give me a ring - 01237 423163 / 0702713435 and we will see what we can arrange.
I am still available for April 30th - Wednesday 2nd May for a trip down to Padstow for 'Obby Osse day - you will need some experience as will include some night sailing. 90 plus miles for the return trip to enter in your log books. Anyone up for it?
Later in May is a good time for a trip, maybe to Wales or Bristol. I already have a trip booked for the Scillies in August but there is plenty of other availability if you fancy going down - maybe in July?
I am afraid the Lundy Race weekend is already booked to the couple who were let down by the weather for the last Lundy race - A Force 8 gale!
Let me know what you would like - day trips, weekends, or longer, or even an estuary cruise in Jez-y-Belle - so I can hold the dates for you.
I might put Jez-y-belle back in the water this next weekend. Her season starts on 1st April.
