Sealife-Adventures Trip Calender
Sealife-adventures is a Visit Scotland 4 star Wildlife Experience. We run wildlife, whirlpool and whale watching trips from our purpose-built easy access pontoon and private car park on Seil, a scenic 30 minute drive south of Oban. Our boat offers a unique combination of uncrowded comfort, stability and exceptional speed from silenced twin engines. All trips are skippered by David, a marine biologist who has been an owner/skipper in this area for 25 years. Our enthusiastic wildlife guide will provide commentary, binoculars and an endless supply of hot drinks and biscuits. We have a toilet on board. We have scheduled the following trips for the next few days, pre-booking is strongly advised. We can schedule in other trips to suit you.
Please phone us on 01852 300 203 (eve and weekend) or 01631 57 10 10 (office hours), if you wish to book or for more information or if you wish us to schedule in more trips.

SESCA Forthcoming Events
Just a reminder that we are running our first Topper Team Racing Training Session, next Saturday (20th), from around 11.30 am using the Club's Toppers. We will be starting with two boat team racing, where the objective is to make sure that neither you or your team mate come last! Races last for only about 12 minutes, so there will be plenty of opportunity to practice starts and manoeuvres. Team racing provides a very good way of sharpening up your boat handling, tactics and knowledge of the rules - while being fun and interesting for competitors and spectators alike. It would be helpful if you could let me know if you are planning to attend - otherwise just show up. All welcome!
Sunday sees the start of the Spring Series with the first race commencing at 10.30am. The day prize will be a cake to celebrate the Queen's Birthday! It would be great to see more boats out on the water, particularly some of the Enterprises and GP14s that have been languishing in the dinghy park for a while. If they all got afloat, we would have a great fleet. Last weekend saw seven boats out enjoying a breezy day's sailing, which was an encouraging start to the season. It was also pleasing to see several new members and a number of visitors, who came down to find out about joining the Club.
The Club Open Weekend will be held on May 18/19, from 10.30 am - 4 pm, as part of the RYA's 'Push the Boat Out' initiative. We have already arranged quite a lot of promotion through the local press, BBC, RYA and online but any help that you can give to help advertise the event would be appreciated. Please find attached a Club flyer and RYA poster, which we would be grateful if you would print out and put up at your work; local post office; gym; college; supermarket etc.
We are planning on offering sailing taster sessions and fun rides on both days, so would very much appreciate the help of as many member volunteers as possible in providing trips in either their own or one of the Club boats. We would also be grateful for assistance in welcoming and registering visitors; marshalling cars; manning the galley and signing up new members. Please could you let me know if you are able to assist on either of the two days and what you would prefer to do. Thank you if you have already volunteered.
