Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of nature by taking a trip on Egremont, the ever popular narrow-boat, providing a clear view of the canal banks and a wide variety of wildlife. Much of the route is very peaceful, seeming far from habitation. You may see kingfishers, egrets, foxes, deer, dragonflies and unusual fish and plants. Regular daily trips April to October. Perhaps you would like to charter a boat for a lunch or dinner cruise? Egremont can be chartered for up to 12 passengers while larger parties will appreciate the comfort and facilities on Richmond, our wide-beam boat carrying up to 42 passengers. Ideal for lunch and dinner parties, anniversaries and corporate hospitality. Take some exercise or practise your rowing skills by hiring one of our rowing boats. Available from the Canal Basin April to October. For anglers the canal holds good stocks of carp, roach, rudd, perch, bream, tench, pike plus some dace and chubb. It is always fishable, there is no closed season.
